Making mistakes

When learning a new thing, I always felt that there is no need to be afraid of making mistakes, something which is evident during the recent Tango workshop classes. However, at the same time, in my opinion it is equally necessary to analyse and discover the causes of such mistakes!?

Water crisis

The bathroom water heater at my new place died yesterday. Burnt out literally. Fortunately it will be replaced in the next couple of days. In the meantime, it’s back to basics as far as taking baths are concerned: one bucket of hot water, to be mixed with the cold water directly from the tap.

Projection

Just had this flash of genius on the way to work. The thought came as I saw some students walking to the bus (the internal bus on the campus of NUS) stop. I was thinking to myself: most of the students, come exam time, will probably feel that they have the most insurmountable problems in the world, life is hell, etc.

But wait till they leave school, and enter the REAL world… 🙂

Continuing assessment

Not too long ago, I decided to have a go at upgrading my website. My original idea was simply to remove some elements on my page which depended on Javascript, to improve on the CSS design and then to possibly replace the trusty :mt: with a PHP-based system. Unfortunately, I did not get further beyond installing the engines (b2evolution and :wp:), porting of all the entries in my current blog using the tools supplied and played a little with the administration panel.
